Ujjain is stepping up preparations for Simhastha 2028, and on Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired a high-level review meeting to assess ongoing work. The meeting was attended by BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, representatives of the Kisan Union, public representatives, and senior administrative officials.
During the discussion, the government reiterated its commitment to making Simhastha 2028 divine, grand, and world-class. Officials reviewed progress across key development works designed to handle massive pilgrim inflow.
In a significant move, the state government decided to cancel the Simhastha land pooling notification, acknowledging and respecting the sentiments of farmers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the interests of both saints and farmers would remain central to all planning and execution for the upcoming mega event.
