The Madhya Pradesh government committed ₹25,000 crore to Simhastha infrastructure in their state budget - a sum that dwarfs the entire budget of many countries' religious events. The Shipra River is undergoing an environmental cleaning program that began two years before the event.

Official Dates

March 27 to May 27, 2028 - 62 days. This has been formally announced by the Madhya Pradesh government and the Akhada Parishad.

Shahi Snan Dates

April 22, 2028 (Chaitra Purnima), May 6, 2028 (Vaishakh Amavasya), and May 9, 2028 (Akshaya Tritiya). All three confirmed.

Infrastructure Budget

₹25,000 crore committed by the Madhya Pradesh government - approximately 7x the budget of Simhastha 2016 (₹3,500 crore).

Expected Attendance

40+ crore (400+ million) pilgrims over 62 days. The May 9 Akshaya Tritiya Shahi Snan alone is expected to draw 12-15 crore people in a single day.
