The Madhya Pradesh government has fast-tracked a ₹1,113 crore water-supply overhaul for Ujjain ahead of Simhastha 2028. A new 150 MLD treatment plant, a 700 km pipeline network, and 17 smart overhead tanks are underway to keep water flowing for residents and the crores of pilgrims expected at the mela.
