A high-level review meeting for the upcoming Simhastha 2028 was held on Sunday at the Collectorate Conference Hall in Ujjain, led by Commissioner Ashish Singh and Simhastha Mela Officer Ashish.

The meeting was attended by Collector Raushan Kumar Singh and all nodal officers responsible for key Simhastha preparations. Department heads presented detailed updates on parking, crowd management, sewage treatment, accommodation, ghat construction, bathing arrangements, fire safety, and media coordination.

Simhastha Mela Officer Ashish directed all departments to submit special presentations in the next review—taking into account the potential arrival of nearly 3 crore (30 million) pilgrims during the major bathing days. He also emphasized preparing for 20–25 lakh visitors on normal days with a comprehensive action plan ensuring smooth arrangements.

Collector Raushan Kumar Singh urged officers to prioritize devotee convenience and safety, especially focusing on seamless entry, bathing, and exit routes from the Simhastha zone.

All nodal officers involved in the Simhastha 2028 preparations were present during the meeting.
