After taking the dip, Tamang stated, “I feel truly blessed to have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh. Since this grand event happens once in 144 years, it is a rare and fortunate moment for us. We are extremely blessed to be here.” He further acknowledged that their visit was made possible by the invitation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. “Since Yogi Adityanath Ji invited us to the Maha Kumbh Mela, we decided to come here with our entire delegation. A total of 72 members from our state joined me. I felt that this sacred event should be experienced by all, not just me,” Tamang added.
Record-Breaking Devotee Participation
As of February 7, 2025, over 40 crore devotees have taken the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. According to figures released by PIB Delhi, by 10 AM on February 7, more than 42 lakh pilgrims had bathed, and the total count is expected to exceed 50 crore before the event concludes.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 has witnessed a massive turnout, including 10 million Kalpavasis, saints, and devotees from diverse backgrounds. Despite three major bathing days—Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, and Basant Panchami—already concluded, the enthusiasm remains high.

The spiritual congregation has attracted several high-profile figures, including:
