Manipur CM N Biren Singh arrived at Maha Kumbh 2025 in Mahakumbh Nagar on Thursday. He described the event as a historic and spiritually enriching experience. Accompanied by cabinet colleagues and legislators, Singh took a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam.

A Spiritual and Cultural Confluence

Singh emphasized that Maha Kumbh is not merely a fair but a grand confluence of Indian culture and faith. He highlighted the spiritual energy of the event, which fosters national unity. Sharing a video of his arrival, he called the event a rare and divine experience.

Political and Religious Gatherings

During the Maha Kumbh, Singh met BJP colleague and Lok Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad. He expressed prayers for peace, prosperity, and the nation’s well-being. “Joined by my Hon’ble cabinet colleagues and MLAs, we seek divine blessings for our people and the nation. May this sacred gathering strengthen our collective spirit,” Singh posted on X.

Union Ministers and Dignitaries at Maha Kumbh

Union Minister Shripad Naik praised the event as a representation of India’s Sanatan tradition. He commended the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government for its advanced planning, including digital information centers, security enhancements, and improved transport facilities. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Prayagraj and took a dip at the Sangam. Other Union ministers, including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Kiren Rijiju, have also participated in the sacred event. On February 1, Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and a delegation of 73 diplomats and foreign guests also attended the Maha Kumbh.

Upcoming Key Bathing Dates

The three Amrit Snans have concluded, but two more auspicious bathing days are scheduled for February 12 and 26. Authorities anticipate a surge in pilgrim numbers on these dates.

Security and Infrastructure Measures

The Uttar Pradesh government has ensured stringent security through drone surveillance, CCTV monitoring, and efficient transport management. Despite these measures, a tragic stampede on January 29 claimed 30 lives and injured 60. A judicial probe is underway to investigate the incident.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 continues to symbolize India’s deep-rooted spiritual and cultural heritage. The participation of political leaders, foreign dignitaries, and millions of devotees underscores its global significance.
